Scotland’s number one bottled golden ale now available in cans.


Following the massive success of our Inveralmond Brewery re-brand, the Perthshire based brewery asked us to transform their flagship beer, Ossian, into a 440ml can and shelf-pack for national retailers.

To do this we simplified and abstracted the original landscape illustration. Working closely with the production team we created an intricate layered landscape on the silver can base, bringing a contemporary twist to the already widely recognised Ossian packaging.

Alongside the new can we designed a 4x440ml shelf-pack. This shows the original full colour illustration wrapped around 3 sides of the box. The design creates interesting merchandising opportunities where multiple boxes combine to form a continuous panorama across the shelf. This standout reinforces the breweries Scottish credentials and helps to strengthen brand awareness.

Ossian has become the number one Golden Ale in Scotland, with a substantial increase in sales since the rebrand. The new Ossian shelf pack is now available in Tesco stores across Scotland.
